A New Chapter for Round Valley Foods & The Frosty Goat

Big things are happening, and we couldn’t be more excited to finally share the news — The Frosty Goat will be taking over Round Valley Foods!

This next chapter brings together two family-driven Saskatchewan businesses that share the same passion for quality products, community, and creating food made with care. While the name on the sign may be evolving, the heart behind it remains exactly the same: hardworking families dedicated to bringing people delicious, high-quality freeze-dried products they can trust.

At its core, Round Valley Foods has always been about providing nutritious, long-lasting freeze-dried foods made with love right here in Saskatchewan. From freeze-dried candy and yogurt to pantry staples designed for convenience, preparedness, and everyday enjoyment, the Round Valley brand built a reputation for quality and care that customers have come to know and love.

Now, The Frosty Goat is incredibly proud to continue that legacy.

For those who may not know us yet, The Frosty Goat is a family-run business powered by three determined women — sisters Kayla and Melissa, alongside their mom Sherri!

Every member of our family brings something unique to the table. Kayla is the creative force behind our branding, graphics, and new product ideas. Sherri is the heart of the operation, growing chemical-free produce in her no-till garden and helping guide our Kid Nibblers line with her years of caregiving experience. Melissa keeps everything organized behind the scenes while also creating homemade soups and recipes using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.

Together, we’ve built The Frosty Goat with one goal in mind — making people smile through food.

As we step into this exciting transition, we want our customers to know something important: the quality, love, excitement, and passion behind these products have not changed. If anything, they’re growing stronger. We remain deeply committed to creating freeze-dried foods that are fun, nutritious, convenient, and made with intention.

Sustainability also continues to be at the center of what we do. We work hard toward zero waste by using every part of our fruits and vegetables — whether it becomes soup stock, feed for the farm animals, or compost for the garden. Freeze-drying allows us to preserve food while keeping up to 97% of its nutritional value, making it both practical and delicious.

But beyond the products themselves, this journey has always been about people.

As a family, we’ve faced our own challenges, including health struggles and personal hardships, but those experiences have shaped who we are. They’ve strengthened our belief that good food, kindness, and community support truly matter. That’s why our long-term dream reaches far beyond simply growing a business. We want to help make nutritious food more accessible — especially for families and communities where fresh food can be difficult or expensive to access, including Northern Canada and people struggling closer to home.

Since launching in June 2024, The Frosty Goat has grown faster than we ever imagined through online sales, local shops, farmers’ markets, craft fairs, and trade shows. Now, welcoming the Round Valley Foods brand into our family feels like the perfect next step.
